Filters are not displayed
- Filter Set settings
Go to your Filter Set and, in the Where to filter section, make sure the correct page is selected (the page where you expect the filters to appear). After making the changes, click the Save/Update button in the Filter Set to save your changes. - Missing Widget or Shortcode
Go to the required page and ensure it contains the Filters Widget or a Shortcode to display the filters. If the page does not include either of these, the filters will not appear. - Cache
In most cases, server-side caching or caching plugins may display a cached version of the page, preventing your filters from appearing. In such cases, you need to fully clear the cache and check the page again. For best results during testing, you can temporarily disable all types of caching on the site. - Hiding of empty Filters
Go to the Filter Set, disable the “Hide Empty Filters” option, and click Update. This option hides all empty filters. If all filters are hidden, none will be displayed on the page.
After saving the changes in the Filter Set and checking if everything is displayed, make sure to always refresh the page to see the updated results.
AJAX troubleshooting
- Elements disappear or their functionality stops working (posts, images, buttons, etc.)
- If, after filtering, certain elements disappear or the functionality of buttons or other components stops working, this indicates that the page uses JavaScript responsible for that functionality, but it is not AJAX-compatible by default. In such cases, you need to reinitialize this JavaScript code after the AJAX request is completed. For detailed instructions, please check this page.
- An error occurs during filtering: (It appears that this page does not contain a container with the specified «HTML id or class of the Posts Container». Try to specify the correct one in the Filter Set settings or the common plugin Settings.)
- If a pop-up error appears during filtering indicating that the specified container does not exist on the page, it means that an incorrect selector has been specified. You must identify and specify the correct class or ID of the container that needs to be filtered. A detailed description of this process is provided on this page.
- The filters update, but the posts do not change.
- If the filtering process runs but nothing changes on the page, while everything works correctly without AJAX filtering, this indicates that an incorrect “HTML ID or Class of Posts Container” has been specified for filtering. The filtering container must include both the posts and the pagination elements. A detailed description of this process is provided on this page.
How to obtain a License key?
Please use your browser in incognito mode.
To set up the License Key for the Filter Everything PRO plugin, go to Filters → Settings → License and click the Get your License Key button.
You will be redirected to a new page where you need to log in with the Envato account (the one used to purchase the plugin) to obtain the License Key.
This is the License Key used to activate the plugin. The Purchase Code is a separate key and is not related to activation.
Filters are displayed but do not filter products/posts
- Filter Set settings
Go to your Filter Set, in the What to filter section select a different post list and click Update.
Afterward, go to the page with the filters, refresh it, and check if the filtering works correctly.
If you have a long list in the What to filter section, you may need to use a trial-and-error approach to identify the specific post list that corresponds to the posts displayed on your page. - Cache
Pay close attention to the Object Cache, as it can cache post lists (queries) across all pages and cause issues during filtering or ignore filtering completely. For best results during testing, temporarily disable the Object Cache, then navigate to your Filter Set and click Update. Afterward, go to the page with the filters, refresh it, and check if the filtering works correctly. - Update the Filter Set
Sometimes, after changes on the site, the post lists (queries) on filtered pages may change, for example after theme updates that modify the queries. In such cases, simply go to the Filter Set and click the Update button so the Filter Set works with the updated post lists.
Some filters work, while others do not
- If filters created from Custom Fields are not working, please check this page.
- For others, check and, if necessary, modify URL prefixes by going to Filters → Settings → SEO → URL prefixes. After updating the prefixes, click the Save button to apply the changes.
The prefix must be unique and not conflict with other slugs on the site or system-reserved slugs. If it conflicts with existing slugs, the filter may not work or may cause a 404 error.
